The majority of salivary gland tumor are benign, with pleomorphic adenomas being the most common. However, malignancies such as mucoepidermoid carcinoma and adenoid cystic carcinoma can also occur, though they are rarer. Symptoms often include swelling or a lump in the mouth, jaw, or neck, difficulty swallowing, and facial nerve weakness.
